we care about your health and safety

At Spinal Axis we are very aware and mindful of the current concern over the spread of COVID-19 and we are doing everything in our power to comply with the recommendations of the Oregon Health Authority and the CDC to prevent the spread of any sickness, including COVID-19.

We have always maintained and clean and sterile environment however, we are implementing the following extra measures to ensure the safety of our patients and staff.

First and foremost: We are open for business and ready to serve you! To do this safely and effectively, we are focusing on four areas:

Client Screening

Per the guidelines outlined by Governor Brown, prior to any appointment we will be screening patients with the following questions:

  • Have you had a cough?
  • Have you had a fever?
  • Have you had shortness of breath?
  • Have you been in close contact with anyone with these symptoms or anyone who has been diagnosed with COVID-19 in the past 14 days?

Answering yes to any of the questions above will result in rescheduling your appointment until your symptoms (cough, fever and shortness of breath) have been resolved, and fever has been resolved without medication for at least 72 hours, or at least 14 days after contact with a person sick with cough, fever, or diagnosed COVID-19.

Operations

We will be immediately sending home any employee with COVID-19 like symptoms (cough, fever, shortness of breath, etc.) and not allow the employee to return to work until at least 72 hours after fever and other symptoms have resolved without medication.

We will be limiting admittance to the office to maintain physical distancing with at least a distance of 6ft between clients and staff except when required for services and we will be asking clients to wait in their car or outside to be contacted when we are ready for the appointment.

We will be posting clear signs listing COVID-19 symptoms, asking employees and patients with symptoms to stay home, and who to contact if they need assistance.

Hand sanitizer and tissues will be available for employees and clients.

Personal Protective Measures

We will be providing and wearing cloth, paper or disposable face coverings when providing direct patient services.

Staff member will wash hands with soapy, warm water, for a minimum of 20 seconds between each client service and after using the telephone, computer, cash register and/or credit card machine, and wiping these surfaces between each use. We will request that clients also wash their hands with soapy, warm water, for a minimum of 20 seconds prior to receiving service.

We will be posting hand washing signs in restrooms and ensure all sinks in the workplace have soap and paper towels available.

Cleaning and Disinfection

We will be thoroughly cleaning and disinfecting all areas of business prior to reopening, including disinfect all surfaces, tools, and linens, even if they were cleaned before the business was closed with disinfectants that are Environmental Protection Agency (EPA)-registered and labeled as bactericidal, virucidal and fungicidal. We will be cleaning and disinfecting all hard non-porous surfaces as well, including glass, metal and plastic, in both public and employee only areas of the office.

We will be cleaning and disinfecting all workstation and treatment room surfaces, including countertops, cabinets and doorknobs, chairs, head rests and arm rests, and tools. Staff member will be checking to make sure all products at workstations, such as lotions, creams, and any other similar supplies have always been in a closed container.

Laundering all linens, blankets, towels, drapes, and smocks in hot soapy water and dry completely at the warmest temperature allowed and storing in an airtight cabinet after each client use has always been part of our routine and we will be continuing to do so. All used/dirty linens will be stored in an airtight container. We will also be cleaning and disinfecting all linen hampers and trash containers and only using a container that can be closed and use with liners that can be removed and discarded.
